Rain and snails, and an empty nest.

The weather has been 1 day of rain, 1 bucket full of rain, a pinch of sun, then volumes of wind.  I love the rain though.  My favorite days are overcast, grey, and raining.  On the walk into work this morning, I was surprised to see a snail.  It's shell is about the size of a quarter, and I didn't expect to see one as big this early.

Then in another 15' or so, I seen another.   Same type and size, so I'll not post it's photo here.

Well, good luck to them, slogging across the sidewalk.  I hope they get where they are going.  On the flip side, all the magpies and crows around here, some lucky bird might get escargot for breakfast.

Speaking of birds, the swans have hatched the eggs.

We didn't see the cygnets, Mama had them tucked away somewhere.  But  Papa was making sure these geese weren't getting anywhere near them.

Sigh, I feel much more like the snail, slowly slinking across the sidewalk.  Some days you feel like a snail, some days you feel like a swan.
