The Zoo post: Creepy bugs, sheep, dogs, bats, swans, ladybugs, and fish.

Promised pic of the cygnets.  It's a couple weeks old.

My maple tree has been leaking, or weeping, or whatever you want to call it.  When looking at the leaves I seen aphids, drat!  I was going to go buy some ladybugs to release on the tree, then looking closely, there's also tons and tons of these red and black creepy bugs.  Thought great, it's infested and I'll go broke trying to spray this huge tree.  Some pics to understand my creeped-out-ness.

Took some to the store, and found out they are LADYBUGS!!   Hurray, I'm infested with ladybugs.  I couldn't have had better news yesterday!

The fish you can see in the pond.  The big one is, oh around 8-9" long.  The others 4-5".  The brown ones are hard to see, even harder to photograph.

Pics of my dogs.  Seriously they are the cornerstone of my sanity.  And they are both happy to share a watermelon with me if I bought one that was way to big.  And the sugar snap pea pods from my salad.  Buster always seems to wear his emotions on his, er, whatever a sleeve would be for a dog.
Buster- "We go'in outside, huh, we go'in, outside right?  I'm sitting being good, your gonna take me outside huh?"

Scrappy-  "Throw the ball, please."

And my grandson loves Spud the Sheep I'm knitting from Spud and Chloe on the Farm.  Maybe I'll post tomorrow Spud's journey to life.  He's had quite the adventures and he's not even complete yet!!

Oh, and I washed and blocked the bat shawl (pattern here).  I've only put that off for 4 months now.

Not a bad weekend all together.
