Family perspective

So it's one of those kinds of months.  You know, the months that pass on by and that make you shake your head and wonder what on earth either your doing, or EVERYONE ELSE on this crazy planet is doing.

I have in the last week, sworn more than I have in a decade (I think), lost more sleep that I had actually slept in the previous 2 weeks, served as a babysitter, wedding planner, referee, fashion expert, exaspirated by stander, matron of honor, refined and honed 'the look' and the best mother and mother-in-law any kid could ask for.  (Right, child squeezed from my loins and raised and paid for since birth who caused 50% of the gray hair I have, 25% of which appeared in the previous said week??!!  Right son-in-law, RIGHT??!!)

I can't complain though.  I've had a tremendous run so far.  I've got some pretty great kids (of whom a son-in-law is now included in), an awesome grandson (who's best one liner yet is 'Mommy your armpits stink!' and has an awesome ladybug collection), and a husband who loves me for who I am (which makes him either a saint or banking massive amounts of karma for his next life.)

Whew I needed that.  When I read it back to myself, I think I actually like the lot of them.  In spite of how they make me nuts most of the time.
