Mid winter rant

1.  It finally  snowed.  After hanging around half the summer, winter and snow took it's sweet time getting back here.  So it is starting to look like winter in addition to feeling like it.  About time.

2. Adjusting to my grandson and daughter being half the bleeping country away from us.  There are some perks.  I can watch 3 movies on a Sunday without getting interrupted.  I can almost keep up with all the stuff I have recorded on the dvr.  The drawbacks pull up feelings that are still pretty raw, so I won't even think about them now.

3. Things are changing all over my life, which is good.  Home, personal, and work are all in a state of upheaval and change.  I thrive on change, so it's good.  Now if I could only change the living room around.  Between the sun and the dogs, either the glare kills the tv, or the dogs kill the furniture looking outside.  So I'm stuck.

4. Working out sucks.  It's not fun, there is no rush, it doesn't feel good period.  I need to do it, keep my mind and body strong.  I really do want to do things in retirement, like go to amusement parks, and wrestle with my grandkids, so I need to do it.  But I am not one who likes it, or thinks it feels good.  I'm just hot and onery-er after I get done.  And no, it doesn't get better after I get used to doing it for a while.  Working out sucks.

I like even numbers, so I'm leaving it right there.  Life's pretty good.
