So in the last 3 weeks. I've had my kids in town for a visit (2 weeks hurray!) seen 2 movies, found out I was going to have another grandchild, celebrated 2 birthdays (photos of those are on another card), went to the zoo, the Dinosaur Park, Lagoon, and the park.
Got the 'We got the keys to the house' phone call, I'm engaged phone call, ate more calories than should be legal. Walked, ran, pulled weeds, pulled a few muscles and tweaked a few. Went to the doctor and had a mammogram. Had my photo taken at the most in opportune times by my grandson. No, I won't be posting any of those. But here's a self portrait of his foot.
In the week since the 'We're Engaged!' phone call, my kid has got the wedding dress picked, decided on bridesmaid dresses (2 of which have been ordered), got the venue, called on all the food, picked a theme and decided on a half dozen smaller things. The venue is amazing, and this mirror in the room will take your breath away.
It's been eventful. I'm very blessed to have such a great life. When everyone is here and my whole life and schedule is chaos, and what my new normal is with no kids in the house, it's still pretty great.
Even though we're empty nesters now, I think we're busier than ever. With a wedding to plan, nothing has slowed down. On ward, forward, and stay out of the mental ward.
