Halloween

On Halloween we had to be to work early so I didn't have time to put my face on if you will.  My co-workers got a peek of what I look like when I roll out of bed.  I hadn't had time to get my 'mind' together yet either.  To make matters worse, my mind was attempting to wander.

That night, we were handing out candy.  Some kids were not coming over, and I thought maybe it was because we didn't have the porch light on.  We have dogs, and they bark when the door gets knocked on.  So we sit outside with a fire and pass out candy.  Mike dressed up as Dr. Frankenstein, and I was the bride of Frankenstein.  And there we were sitting in the firelight listening to a Halloween sounds cd in the car.

Then it occurred to me that we didn't appear to be the most inviting house on the block.   After some reassurance we weren't going to scare anyone, the kids came and got some candy.  And some parents warmed themselves by the fire.

The countdown to the wedding is on.  Work. work, work for the next two weeks... ugh.  the progress on her shawl is cruising.  The one thing I wish I had been better about taking photos of, and I don't have  a single picture.  Each time I get it out the focus is to work on it.... I never remember to take a photo of it.  I will get one this week, and hopefully it will be finished by Friday.
