So here's some photos of the weather here in Utah. First we got a lot of snow. Looking at it in a chair on the patio at work, I thought the layers of the snow looked cool. There was a very unusual, very long period of cold. The average high temp in northern Utah for January is 13 degrees. Bhhrrrr.

There is quite a bit of wildlife by work. This particular day we seen the red fox, several ducks (common mergenser, hooded mergenser, mallard, coot, common golden eye), and a bald eagle. I don't know what it had, or what he magpies thought it had, but there was over 15 buzzing around it.

Then this past Thursday, the 24th, we had an ice storm. I don't understand how it can be 17 to 25 degrees outside and rain, but it did. Friday, when I go up to take my mom to work, this is what I was greeted with. Even as slick and nasty as it was, it was pretty cool. Icicles on the car, and the snow, wow. The snow looked like Styrofoam, like a production company was setting a stage for a snow scene and hadn't finished dressing the snow to look like snow yet.
I wish I had got pictures of the dog trying to roll around in it. He loves the snow, and loves to roll in the snow. He dropped on that ice covered snow, immediately got back up, and came in the house. He didn't find it fun at all either.
