Projects finished, small victories

Baby blankets  February 2013
Done, finally after last week and the sew, unpick, sew, unpick, repeat 2x, and then once again on the 2 blocks I got turned around and had to fix.  I'm relieved, glad I didn't burn, excited to have these done, one each for the new grandsons about to make their external debut.  I cannot wait (seriously) for these to leave my house.

Left to right:  Shell, 2stitch pico, my own stitch pattern, reverse pico, 3 rows single crochet.
Burp cloths completed and gifted.  Whew 2 down from the to-do list.

Dishcloth done for the swap.  It is the first time I've felt confident enough to knit a cloth for the swap.  So now I'm back to the hippos and the monster backpack.  And the hemstitched monkey blanket.

I've got to celebrate all the small victories because there are days when the rest of life just feels like it's got a pillow over your face and a knee on your chest.  And in this case it's a car parked on my chest, dumb thing.  Such timing for it to break down.   Maybe in the fall.  I've got a handy husband, helpful friends, and I'm pretty resourceful when I have to be.  Which means there will be no spring monster run.

Robins nest, Lake Park 2/19/2013

And I seem to post wildlife type stuff all the time.  This is a nest that has managed to survive this winter.   It's in a tree on the walkway into the building I work in.

Small victories, I find 'em when I'm paying attention.
