Like I said, resolutions pish...

So clearly the post 4x a week thing is FAIL, but not as bad as the walking.  Walking FAIL.  Reading FAIL, but not as bad as the blog post.  Yarn stuff, PASS.  Vacuum PASS, because Mike has been doing it.  Bathroom PASS, even though it wasn't on the list and it's only been 2 weeks.

Feel guilty, NOT  A CHANCE.  I'll get into the groove of what I want to do and when as I go.  I need to get me the chart printed and a box of stars.  I'm sure that'd go a long way to encourage me.  And I'm going to sign up for the bearlakemonsterrun.com now while the early registration has it cheap.  If I sign up for this stuff then I seem to get committed to doing it.   Mike said sign him up to.  Hurray!  It will be good for both of us.

Even though he smokes, drinks 2 liters of Mt. Dew a day, and STILL looks like he did when he was 24, and can run at least 3 miles without getting winded, we will still enjoy ourselves.

I will.

I will not get frustrated and upset with him that what God gave him physically is unfair in all ways, shape, and form.

I will not remind him that we are supposed to get old and fat together.

I will enjoy it.  I will.

Work is going well.  Busy but that's okay.

The beavers have moved to another dam somewhere down/up stream.  This is the remains of the beaver lodge.

But we seen the fox yesterday.  Which since the beavers have left, we hadn't seen the fox either in some time.  So that was a welcome sight.  The beaver has been seen swimming up and down the canal, so we know they're still around, but they clearly decided this winter home was not going to meet their needs.  Picky beavers.

And what a difference a couple of days can make.  We had this huge storm, well 2 back to back.  It averaged a foot a day here for 4 days.  On the 29th of January it just didn't seem to stop.  We got around 3 feet or so cumulative at our house from January 27 to 30.

I could not believe how much snow we got over four days.  I am ever so blessed to have a job I can telecommute for.  And I was very grateful to get back into the office on Thursday.  Being home is great, but getting out and going to work isn't so bad either.

Those storms, they cleaned up the air and got rid of the inversion, for a few days at least.  See the beautiful sunset at the top of the post we had the day after getting nine inches.

Tonight I got to Skype with my grandson.  We read two stories and while he ate his dinner.  I can't wait to hug and kiss him again.

I've not posted this, nor talked about it much, but Mike and I went to a funeral not too long ago.  It was someone who was a friend of Mike's who married a friend of mine.  His behavior influenced the course of events that brought us all together some 26+ years ago.  Many, many things have changed. Mike and he almost died in lake during a fishing trip.  We used to play cards together all the time, spades.  We had kids.  We grew apart.   They divorced, we all lost touch.  Mike had contact off and on with him in the last 15 years, more so in the last few years.  It took us back so fast, to so many years ago.  Seeing his grown, and almost grown kids mourning the loss of their father.  He was too young to lose, they are all too young to lose him.  The stark realization how fast time slips past us.  And that catching up with lost friends because a friend was lost just sucks.

A more important goal ought to be spending more time with the people who are here, while I can.  And while I am!
