Warmer weather brings deer season?

It has been on the warm side lately.  Well warm compared to what it has been lately.  In the 30's.  There are several deer out by the freeway.  Makes for great photos.

I cannot believe what I have become as a seamstress.  I got the squares cut out for a rag quilt.  I am so programmed to sew right sides together, I sewed all the strips of one blanket together before it dawned on me that they were ALL wrong.  I sat there kind of stunned after I realized what I did.  So I sewed the other one together (correctly) and spent the rest of Saturday unpicking the entire one I screwed up.  Sunday I went to sew it together and got one in the middle of a strip wrong, and another entire strip wrong.  I'll be hornswaggled, if I didn't turn around and do it AGAIN!  I clearly cannot watch a movie and sew at the same time.   EESH!  Mike was quite humored by the whole thing.   He could not hardly contain himself.  Kudos to him though, he did try to keep a straight face the second time.

So one baby blanket done and delivered, one completed this weekend, and 2 rag tops finally completed.  I got the backing for the rag quilts.  After this weekend that will wait at least a week.    Now just one more burp rag (50% done), 1/6 of the washcloth, and back to the hippos.  Photos of the completed stuff to come.

Got a plan for going Tennessee for the new baby to be born.  It's gonna be tight though, I'll get home in barely enough time to have a baby shower for Amanda.
